Welcome to CHWMS!

ABOUT CHWMS

The Colorado Hazardous Waste Management Society, Inc. (CHWMS) is a nonprofit organization, created in 1985 to provide a forum for the exchange of information concerning technologies, laws and regulations, and other current developments pertaining to environmental health and safety matters and waste management issues.

CHWMS membership consists of technical and legal professionals from environmental organizations, the government, academia, industry and the private sector. Members generally work in the environmental, health and safety fields.

CHWMS provides information about current environmental health and safety development to its members through newsletters, monthly luncheon meetings, semi-annual workshops, and other reference materials.

SAVE THE DATE for the CHWMS Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, September 7

Fellow CHWMS members and golfers, as you are well aware (because we tell you all the time) the CHWMS annual golf tournament is our only fund raising event. Over the years we have been very successful in being able to provide scholarships and contributions to other charitable endeavors. However, because of the downturn in the economy in recent years, the annual golf tournament has not been as successful. We have not lost money on any of the golf events BUT we have not even come close to the black ink seen in the past.
