Senior EHS Compliance Consultant (Greenwood Village)

ERM is seeking a Senior EHS Compliance Consultant to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Greenwood Village, CO (Denver Tech Center). In this role, you will manage and work on challenging EHS management projects for Fortune 500 corporations in the mining, oil & gas, consumer products and retailers, and other multinational manufacturers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, manage, and implement EHS compliance programs and management systems for corporate clients.
• Serve as key member on global and local multidisciplinary compliance auditing teams. Lead and perform environmental compliance audits, and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage and develop programs, plans, and permits for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, and wastewater.
• Appropriately delegate project assignments to project teams and mentor junior staff.
• Manage multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
• Participate in business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities, preparing technical proposals, cross-selling ERM services to existing clients, and maintaining client relationships that generate repeat business.
• Communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in engineering, environmental science, safety, or related discipline; MS a plus.
• 10 to 20 years of environmental and/or health & safety compliance experience with solid proven consulting track record.
• Expertise with EHS requirements/regulations in a broad range of industries, including the mining sector.
• Established relationships and a positive reputation within the local consulting industry, as well as within the legal and regulatory communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and standards.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-pace consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. Approximately 30% travel.
• Professional registration desired.
• Local candidates preferred.
