ERM is seeking an experienced and hands-on Environmental Engineer/Construction Manager to join our top-ranked global environmental consulting firm as a Project Manager in Denver, CO. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, implement, and manage site remediation, environmental construction management, environmental compliance, and other engineering-related projects. Manage projects and subtasks, including scope, schedule, budget, and product quality.
• Design soil and ground water treatment systems and processes, from evaluating and recommending appropriate remediation technologies (Feasibility Studies) to system design, permitting, pilot testing, construction, and O&M oversight.
• Plan and execute environmental construction projects, including remediation/construction bid packages, engineering cost estimates, design and constructability reviews, construction quality assurance oversight, subcontractor management, and contractor oversight.
• Prepare compliance plans and permits for storm water, air, wastewater, hazardous waste and spill prevention; in particular, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
• Recommend appropriate actions to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
• Prepare and review technical reports, documents, and proposals.
• Maintain client relationships to support repeat business.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Ensure safety of oneself and team members during project operations.
• Coordinate and communicate with client representatives, subcontractors, and ERM employees
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS in civil, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, construction management, or related degree; MS a plus.
• Professional registration in state of Colorado or motivation to obtain.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in environmental engineering and construction management, including progressive project management responsibilities in a consulting environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrated client relationship building skills.
• Experience implementing strict Health and Safety protocols. Current OSHA 40-hour certification.
• Ability to organize and coordinate field personnel, subcontractors and vendors.
• Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
• Local candidates preferred.
